          National Unity Day is  celebrated every year on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel . It is also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The reason behind the celebration of this day is to make people aware of the ideas of staying together and uplifting society.   15th October is celebrated as Global Handwashing Day. The theme this year for that day is “Unite for Universal Hand Hygiene”. Global Handwashing Day 2021: The day is observed annually on October 15 and spreads awareness about the importance of handwashing with soap and water at home, in the community, and across the world.
